The Pavilion is a beautiful Georgian country house hotel close to the city center, so those traveling from in and around York should be able to get there very easily from the city center and A64. There is free parking at the venue with 2 electric car charging points and they also offer free parking within the City of York (contact venue for further information details). 

Those travelling from further afield will find a number of en suite bedrooms at the Pavilion, each with their own individual character. Otherwise there are a number of B&B's in the Fulford area such as Adams House which is very close to the venue.

The hotel is a small, privately owned and run hotel since the late 1980's and is renowned by wedding suppliers we have spoken to for it's wonderful friendly staff. The hotel owes much of its appeal to the unique atmosphere of a Georgian House, although the property, formerly Fulford House, was originally a 17th Century farmhouse, was altered extensively in 1785 to form the elegant Georgian house you see today with separate stable block and courtyard. 

The house was once the family home of York businessman and entrepreneur Xavier Prendergast. The theatrical connections of Mr Prendergast, who owned cinemas in and around York, brought many famous names to Fulford House. As well as Jack Buchanan, Duke Ellington, George Formby, Gracie Fields and Adam Faith, Mr Prendergast was responsible for bringing the Beatles to York in the 1960's. His Son, composer John Barry, who now lives in Hollywood, has had a long and successful career ranging from the John Barry Seven film scores such as the James Bond theme and, more recently, Dances with Wolves, for which he earned an Oscar.
